Built like part of the house.

Calvin framed houses for twelve years before he built only decks and porches, and every deck gets concrete footings below the frost line, a flashed and bolted ledger, and joist tape on the frame.

What our clients say

We called in November like June told us to, and our deck was done the second week of April. Our neighbors called in April and got theirs in August.

Rhonda P., Salem

Calvin talked us into composite on the part of the deck we live on and plain wood on the stairs down to the yard. Saved us close to four thousand dollars.

Greg and Ana T., Vinton

The screened room gets more use than our living room now.

Straight answers

Frequently asked questions

When should I call for a spring build?

Call between October and the end of January. The spring list has filled by mid-February each of the past three years.

Do you build in wood and composite?

Yes. Every deck has a pressure-treated frame, then we help you choose the surface and railing that fit your budget and maintenance preference.

Can you rebuild an old deck?

Yes. We build new decks and tear-off-and-rebuild projects, including two-level layouts, wide stairs, railings and lighting.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We pull the permit for jobs that need one and attend every inspection.
